See a missing title? Got a recommendation? Leave it in the comments below!
Hi, have you read “Ao Haru Ride”? 🙂 It’s done by Sakisaka Io.
😀 i understand that you are not just a shoujo fan!(i LOVE shonen but i prefer shoujo manga) i would like to know if you have ever read Pandora Hearts ! if you have not, then you should!! the mangaka is pretty new and this is only her 2nd story.
although its her seccond she is AMAZINGLY skilled in both creating a story and drawing!! this is my fave manga ever and i highly recommend to “Black Butler” fans as it is alike in the time that that it takes place and the fact that the main char is the hated son of a duke(not that ciel is a hated son right?), it also has its own “wonderfulness” to it regarding the abyss, the sadist main character, and the eerie “chains” to make contracts with.
its by far the best thing i have ever read(thats pretty big for some one who has been a hard core otaku since age 6)
have you read Gakuen Alice!!!!!!! THE BEST SHOUJO MANGA EVA!!!!! Its pretty popular and it has just recently been completed at 178 chapters(?) the art work is very unique but its better then some and the story is never dull! even though most shoujo over 50 chapters tend to be boring, this manga has a bit if shonen appeal to it. it starts out verry light and “worry free” yet as the story goes on it got more shocking, funny, sad, and mostly it got BETTER!! this manga might seem childish but it gets more mature with truths being kept and tragic deaths(don’t even get me started on the ESP(elementary school principle)) it actually was made into a children’s anime, but they stopped because the story became to mature for the fan base of 10 year olds.
Too many suggestions to list, so here’s just the list from my Tumblr: http://otakulittleninja13.tumblr.com/mangalist
I would love to chat over manga and virtual tea sometime!
That sounds lovely! ^0^
Thoughts on your currently reading manga list: You should read Death Note. Granted, it’s a pretty significant leap from normal shoujo reading, but it’s engrossing stuff. Also, how’s Kaichou wa Maid-sama! going? I stopped reading it quite a while ago.
After long gaps in updates and such, I kind of forget a lot. But I guess it’s going okay, there are some significant events with Usui, but he goes all super human and everything turns out okay.
Saw your manga list, and it’s lot! Kinda hard to choose what to read next… can u give me some manga recommendation? I’m looking for a touching, comedy shoujo manga, like faster than a kiss.. thanks hehe
Gosh, ummm…I’m currently reading Hibi Chouchou, and I think it’s pretty darn good. Taiyou no Ie is also an amazing read.
Also, Love So Life, because it’s so incredibly cute and charming ^_^
Have you tried Koukou Debut by Kawahara Kazune? 😄 it was the first manga I read and it’s still one of the best I’ve read so far…
About 3/4 years ago I read a completed manga about a writer who was really dark, but it was a love story, anyone have any suggestions of what it could be? I want to read it again, but I can’t find it!
Hi, Konata! I’m a fan of Real Clothes and Oishii Kankei – that’s how I found your blog, which was surprisingly a good discovery 😀 **btw, it’s another thing but I’m undertaking an education in teaching, so, yeah… basically I’ll work as a teacher like you too :p
This list is pretty awesome! You’ve read so much mangas. Mind if I add some recommendation? I suggest you to read Basara from Yumi Tamura and 7 Seeds from the same author. They have really nice romance and heartbreaking drama. The heroine in Basara is pretty cool, too. But do note that Basara contains many action scenes. 7 Seeds is a bit more interesting than Basara, in my opinion, and all the characters are nicely relatable and they don’t feel flat or boring. I was a bit impatient with Natsu though, because she reminds me of how I used to be, but she is gradually improving and I love her journey. To sum it up, Basara and 7 Seeds are a must read 😀
Oh, and I really recommend ONE PIECE from Eiichiro Oda – I know it’s long and has too many action scenes but it’s awesomely epic!! But if you want to find romance, you’d better not looking for it in One Piece. Hehe. Perhaps you could try reading it, it really grows on you, and in my opinion, it’s a better shounen then Naruto. (I dropped that series too halfway.) But I agree with Shingeki no Kyojin being awesome, because they really are. Glad you picked it, if you haven’t read it, I’ll certainly recommend it to you 😉
*I’m sorry for my English, I’m not a native speaker so there might be some errors but please put up with it :B
Oh, and also Skip Beat! I hope you’ve read it, but I haven’t seen it in your list~
